ELIMINATION OF CURVE BEGINS—Finishing touches are applied to the razing of a service station at Linden Street and Monroe Avenue on the western end of the University of Scranton complex as a prelude to the elimination of the cumbersome curve at that intersection. Construction plans call for Linden Street to bend gradually northward in the 800 block at McKenna Court, an alley running north and south on the easterly side of the Pennsylvania Wholesale Drug Co., at left, and merge with the 900 block separating St. Thomas Hall, right, and the U of S Student Center, center. At present, traffic moving east on Linden Street must make a sharp left turn on Monroe Avenue and travel about 50 feet before making a sharp right turn to continue east on Linden Street.
