Movement Toward Human Dignity
Many years later—after the First and Second World Wars—politicians and other organizers built on the ideas set forth in previous political texts to support human rights and the promotion of dignity, demonstrating Kant’s philosophical influence on these texts. This period saw the public becoming aware of significant human rights abuses, making integrating the protection of human dignity much more integral in the public consciousness.
