Roman Rustic Capitals
Roman Rustic Capitals originated in the 1st century CE. The letters are more narrow and compressed than Roman Square Capitals. The forms were influenced by writing on papyrus and parchment. Roman Rustic was used as display script for headings well into the Middle Ages.
