Book of Hours
A Book of Hours is a book that contains the prayers and Scripture readings to be said at the canonical hours of the day. Each Book of Hours is unique in its own way, but include a similar collection of prayers, psalms, and texts. Books of Hours were based on the sequence of prayers used by religious orders. However, Books of Hours were primarily used by lay people.
