Contribute to the Archive
To extend our research and expand the archive, the Weinberg Memorial Library seeks material that may be relevant to the University’s Black history from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the wider community. The University Archives collects records that document the University’s various functions including teaching, research, cultural activities, student life, administration, athletics, and more as they relate to Black history on campus.
Examples of records collected:
- Photos
- Event flyers and related materials
- Memorabilia
- Screenshots of social media posts (created by you as owner and copyright holder of the content)
- Videos or recordings of events, performances, interviews
- Reports
- Any other related materials created or published by the University community
To submit to the Archives, please use the Re-membering Blackness Archive Form. If you have questions, please contact Digital Services Librarian Colleen Farry at colleen.farry@scranton.edu.

Help us Identify Persons and Events
In many cases, we have not yet identified individuals or events depicted in photos. If you recognize a person or event, please let us know. Under each photo, there is a text box for “New Tags” in which you can type the names of persons, buildings, events, etc. Click the “Tag It!” button to submit.
