Land Acknowledgment Statement
Linked below is a land acknowledgment statement that I, alongside Dr. Adam Pratt, and a fellow student named Katia Ramirez helped develop and craft for the University of Scranton.
The value of a land acknowledgment statement is oft debated. Our position is that while it may be seen as a cheap gesture with no action behind it, it can be of tremendous value if accompanied by genuine and committed work for and care for indigenous justice.
